From my body of work "The Fairy Knot Adventures" comes this new Drawing Titled: "A Fantastical ThanksGiving"!
This is a story that evolves from drawing to drawing. It began with the " Horse Fairy Knots" and then has morphed into "The Fairy Knot Adventures" this is a story built from drawing to drawing and eventually created into paintings. This story is evolving daily into a mystery of its own and is a must follow to keep up with what is happening!!
These two have sparked my imagination and I so enjoy spending time creating their adventures! Drawing more reminds me of my childhood inspirational Artist Gustave Doré! I'm going to have to include all my animals in on their escapades!
My great-grandfather was from Scotland, and one of my favorite stories passed down through the generations is the tale of “The Fairy Knots.” You know those mysterious tangles that seem to appear overnight in a horse’s mane? Well, there’s a magical explanation for them — one that’s far more enchanting than mere coincidence.
According to legend, when the world is fast asleep and the moon casts its silver glow, the fairies come out to play. They’re mischievous little beings, and they don’t mind keeping your horse awake for a bit of nighttime adventure. They tiptoe up, whispering their magical words, and together they conspire for a ride through the starlit fields.
The fairies tie knots in the horse’s mane — makeshift reins and stirrups woven from strands of hair — and off they go, galloping through dreams and dew. By morning, all that remains are the tangled traces of their joyride.
I loved this story so much, I sketched it in pencil — a quiet tribute to the magic of folklore and the bond between horse and fairy. I’ll turn it into a book someday!
This is drawings of a continuous story of the "Fairy Knot Adventures",
This drawing is Titled: " Fantastical ThanksGiving"!
These two characters already have a name which will be revealed soon in an upcoming drawing. I plan to include paintings and lots of adventure!! Stay Tuned!!
Happy trails!
